Easter Mass, Cliffs of Moher and Burren National Park

Before I get into the blog let me start with by wishing everyone a very Blessed Easter!  How special to celebrate Easter Sunday at Mass at the majestic Ennis Cathedral.  The Bishop even gave us a special warm welcome.  Jodi and Riyadh was asked to take up the eucharist.
After Mass, Anthony (our awesome tour guide) and Damien (the best bus driver in the world) surprised the kids with Easter eggs!  Thank you for this very special gift!

From the Cathedral we went off to the Cliffs of Moher.  I don't think we even imagined the splendour we were about to witness.  I will not say too much but rather post the pics for you to see.  I don't think the pics do the Cliffs any justice though.  I would like to say though that while standing on the cliff and looking out to sea, I was again reminded of God's splendour and how thankful we were to experience something of this magnitude.

After the Cliffs we made our way out to Burren National Park, which was approximately 40 km from the Cliffs.  If you have ever seen the movie 'Leap Year', this was exactly what the scenery along the drive looked like.  Our guide, Tony Kirby met us at the entrance of the National Park.  Tony was one of the most passionate tour guides we have ever encountered.  He had extensive knowledge about the area and made our trip very interesting despite the cold weather.  The National Park is approximately 1500m hectares in size and means "rocky place".
If you would like to read up on it, you can have a read:  http://www.burrennationalpark.ie

In the National Park we got to experience 'Temple Cronan'.  This small church sited inside a small monastic enclosure was built in the 12th century.  We went inside as a group and got to sing the school song which was very special and magical.

And to end of our blog tonight, we came across Ruan Ackermann's Instagram's post.... special mention....

Sleep tight, last 3 nights in beautiful Ireland!
